Membership Information

We Need You As A Member

Last year, the IGCA honored well over 500 athletes and over 200 coaches! Did you know that no Iowa Girl ever "pays to play" in an IGCA sponsored event? We have extensive volunteer networking systems to get this all accomplished, but only through memberships can we fund the existing programs and hopefully, keep growing. Send in memberships today.

Why Join the IGCA?

We are the coaches of girls' sports in Iowa! Membership in the IGCA includes athletic directors, girls' basketball, golf, softball and volleyball coaches, both head and assistants, plus any other active coach.

Benefits of Membership

•District Coach of the Year (COTY). Any member coach can be named COTY of their sports.

•All-Star Coach. Any member is eligible to coach in the IGCA basketball, softball or volleyball all-star contests.

•State Coach of the Year. Members are eligible to be named State COTY, all classes, all of our sports.

•Voting. Members are eligible to vote on all district and all state teams in their respective sports. The IGCA selects the only all state volleyball and softball team in Iowa, plus selects the most comprehensive basketball all state team. We have thorough selections from all of Iowa.

•Academic All State. Members are eligible ot submit names for the academic all-state teams in all four sports.

•National Recognition. A member of the IGCA is also a member of the National High School Athletic Coaches Association and is eligible to receive awards by this organization. Iowa has had many National Coach of the Year winners in all sports (boys and girls) plus many athletic directors have been honored.

•Scholarships. Members can nominate deserving athletes for IGCA scholarships.

•Clinics. We offer members continuing education in the form of clinics and rules meetings.
